Specialists and Specialty CareGroup Health offers access to a large network of specialists, including Group Health Physicians who practice at our Group Health Medical Centers and our network of contracted providers. You can see most specialists at Group Health Medical Centers without a referral from your personal physician (see box at right). In most cases, you need a referral to see contracted specialists who do not practice at Group Health Medical Centers. Use the Provider Directory to find specialists included in your health plan. More than 90 percent are board-certified, with years of advanced education and clinical training. Because of our coordinated care system, our specialists work closely with everyone on your Group Health Medical Centers care team — your personal physician, nurses, lab techs, pharmacists, and others.
